highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director to join our
team. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to
manage the day-to-day operations of our childcare facility. The
ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities,
exceptional communication skills, and a passion for fostering a
safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This is
an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to take
the next step in their childcare career. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Childcare Director in overseeing the daily operations of
the childcare facility. Support the development and implementation
of age-appropriate curricula and activities that promote children's
growth and development. Supervise and support childcare staff,
providing guidance and ensuring that best practices are followed.
Ensure that all safety, health, and licensing regulations are met
at all times. Serve as a key point of contact for parents,
addressing concerns, providing feedback, and maintaining open
communication. Assist in conducting staff performance reviews,
providing coaching, and offering professional development
opportunities. Monitor and maintain records of children's progress,
activities, and any incidents that occur. Oversee the scheduling of
staff and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts. Participate in
staff training and ensure that the team remains up-to-date with
industry standards. Assist in the management of budgetary and
financial operations, including supplies and resources.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child
Development, or a related field (preferred). 5 years of experience
in childcare (with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership
role, preferred). Knowledge of state licensing requirements and
best practices in early childhood education. First Aid and CPR
certification (required). Strong leadership, organizational, and
communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with
staff, children, and parents. Passion for fostering a supportive
and inclusive learning environment. Background check clearance
(required).
