About the Position:

Tachus is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, professional, outgoing, friendly Administrative Assistant with a strong can-do attitude. The Administrative Assistant's primary purpose will be to provide clerical and administrative support to our People, Finance and Safety divisions and ensure efficient operation of the office environment. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Tachus is based in The Woodlands, Texas, and is serving communities throughout Greater Houston with its 100% fiber network and 100% local customer support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for all visitors to our office, ensuring guests are comfortable and are connected with the appropriate personnel
  • Managing schedules for conference and community spaces
  • Monitoring, maintaining and ordering inventory for office and break room supplies
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail and packages
  • Prepare general correspondence, forms, reports, presentations as needed
  • Assist with tasks related to onboarding of new team members
  • Filing and organizing records and other important documentation
  • Submitting work orders and scheduling repairs for general office space and equipment
  • Ordering repairs for office equipment and maintenance, connecting with and escorting vendors
  • Provide support to administrative colleagues regularly as needed
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and others
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Other duties as assigned or directed by management

      • High school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience working in an office
      • Must be people-oriented and enjoy interacting with others and collaborating on projects
      • Must be prompt, reliable, have a sense of urgency
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and be adaptable/flexible to frequent shifts in direction and priorities
      • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team in an office setting
      • Attention to detail and problem solving skills in all areas of work
      • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
      • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
        Working Conditions:

        Professional office environment with extensive sitting, and use of computer. Physical activities include, but are not limited to: climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking and lifting up to 30 pounds.
