Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial
kitchen equipment, which encompasses ovens, refrigerators,
dishwashers, and additional appliances. Engage in close
collaboration with Culinary and Food and Beverage managers to
ensure that their kitchen equipment functions optimally and
efficiently. Engage with manufacturers for assistance when
diagnosing complex issues or identifying specific components.
Resolve minor plumbing issues, including the unclogging of drains,
the use of plungers for toilets, and the repair of leaking spigots
and faucets. Conduct various minor maintenance tasks, including
affixing loose toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and repairing
holes in walls. Ensure the execution of preventive maintenance on
tools and equipment, which includes thorough cleaning and
lubrication. Maintain comprehensive daily logs documenting
operational activities, maintenance procedures, and safety
protocols. Engage with members as necessary to effectively address
and resolve maintenance issues. Requirements: Experience Required:
A minimum of two years of experience in HVAC (heating, ventilation,
and air conditioning) and commercial refrigeration is required.) A
minimum of two years of experience in repairing commercial kitchen
equipment or an equivalent educational background is required.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification or CFC
Certification (required) Commercial Food Equipment Service
Association (CFESA) Certification Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) Certification or CFC Certification (required) Extensive
knowledge and skills in refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Comprehensive knowledge and skills in commercial kitchen equipment.
Knowledge and skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, and
intermediate-level electrical work. The capability to diagnose and
resolve challenging and intricate service issues. Effective
communication and maintaining strong relationships with management,
vendors, and colleagues. Candidates must possess the ability to
work both independently and collaboratively within a team
environment.
