_Civil Engineer, EIT _ About us L Squared Engineering has been awarded the AGGIE 100 Award in two consecutive years and provides civil engineering services for a broad range of specialties. We are seeking an experienced engineer/project manager for an immediate full-time opportunity in our Conroe office. The applicant should be a licensed professional in the state of Texas and experience in Land Development is preferred. The role will be to work in a team environmental providing engineering services for land development, site development, and potentially municipal projects. This is subject, but not limited to infrastructure design, on-site grading, drainage, stormwater detention, floodplain mitigation, paving, stormwater quality, etc.Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions Preparation of preliminary engineering feasibility reports. Support Senior Project Manager in the production of plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Prepare written technical reports and engineering studies using company approved formats Must be able to jump into multiple projects at once and multitask well. Must have excellent communication both electronically and in person. Support senior engineers by performing specific and limited portions of their more broad assignments. Produce conceptual plans and specifications for design projects involved in site layout, grading and drainage systems, stormwater management, paving, and utility design. Assist in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for residential subdivisions, retail sites, commercial developments, healthcare campuses, industrial complexes, multi-family developments, and public works projects. Perform design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work. Check, interpret and revise engineering drawings. Plan and conduct code research. Research design options and document findings. Coordinate with other disciplines. Utilize hydrologic modeling software to perform detailed hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater analyses.Requirements:B.S. or M.S. in Civil EngineeringBasic experience with land/site planning and design of residential, commercial, water services, and/or large industrial projects.Knowledge of basic AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D techniques and principles is required.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.Must be registered as an Engineer in Training in Texas.Local candidatesJob Type: Full-timeBenefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insuranceSchedule: 8 hour shiftSupplemental Pay: Bonus payEducation: Bachelor's (Required)Work Location: One location
