The Strategic Program Manager lives on the Enterprise Program
Management team and is focused on improving strategic, investment
decision-making and program level project delivery. Reporting up
through the Chief Strategy Officer, the team is responsible for the
quantitative structure for assessing investment opportunities, and
partnering with executives across the organization to scope,
prioritize, and deliver the program-level projects. You will have
an opportunity to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment

The right candidate for this role is a self-motivated, and
passionate about learning and driving improvements across the
organization. You have the proven ability to dive deep into complex
systems and metrics to understand the business context behind the
data and technology. You stay current on the technology that
impacts your product. You have exceptional organizational skills
and communications skills to explain findings to different
audiences.
Responsibility Statements
Influences the strategic direction (business and technology) of
large investments and products.
Partner with business executives to assess ROI on strategic
projects, develop product roadmap/timeline, and deliver key
initiatives across the organization
Use insights and data to make strategic decisions, investment
analysis, and framework to assess current, future and past
performance.
Engage staff and leaders across the organization at CONNs to
communicate product/project requirements and deliver features that
provide improvement across business units.
Own the overall performance (timeline, budget, and resource
utilization) of program-level initiatives and works through the
project team to implement adjustments when issues/risks are
identified.
Controls and mitigates project risks/issues by performing the
qualitative and quantitative analysis and delivers dynamic
solutions to program / project challenges.
Responsible for tracking and reporting on key metrics (i.e.,
deliverables, measures of success, financials, duration, benefits)
and communicating findings to senior/executive management.
Facilitates necessary executive governance processes.
Applies deep functional knowledge (e.g. business objectives,
operating model, cross-functional macro processes, etc.) in HR, IT,
Finance, Stores, Pro, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Digital to
ensure the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project
stakeholders such as internal customers, third party vendors, and
senior/executive management.
Required Education/Experience
5+ years of experience in strategy, product, or business operations
(corporate, retail is a plus)
MBA or equivalent work experience preferred.
Expertise in assessing, managing and delivering projects.
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around
technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
Thinks strategically but maintains accountability for daily
execution of team.
Proven track record of identifying market opportunities,
understanding key differentiators, and partnering with business
leaders to scope and deliver value to the organization.
Demonstrated ability to communicate to executives at all levels,
and lead through influence on both the business and IT development
process.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives, adhere to timelines, and
prioritize work based on changing business needs.
4+ years' leadership experience with direct report responsibility,
comfortable managing teams with 5+ people
Experience managing operational, program, and/or project financial
budgets.
