Maintenance Manager Manufacturing
BRAND NEW FACILITY! Conroe TX! Would you like to work in a

knowledge and background in running a successful Maintenance
Program?
Texas Tissue Converting is a paper converting company located in
the CONROE, TX Area. We are currently seeking to add a Maintenance
Manager that will lead technicians in a transition of reactionary
to preventative and predictive maintenance.
To be successful in this role you should have hands on experience
in preventative and reliability maintenance as well as implementing
preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for creating and
implementing Texas Tissue Converting maintenance systems,
overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process
and executing long-term strategic plans. Will supervise and manage
other technicians on repairs directly related to the line.
Responsibilities
- Train new and current technicians. Lead and direct the team to
ensure that all maintenance work is completed in a timely manner,
while ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- Promote continuous improvement and maintain efficient work
standards.
- Review and Manage the Work Order Process to optimize team and
completion rates.
- Manage the total inventory of parts and materials.
- Leads team in meeting production goals by maintaining equipment
functionality and staff performance.
- Schedule, train, supervises and motivates maintenance team
members
- Manage Maintenance Teams participation in Change Overs for
optimum production uptime.
- Manage and control work performed by outside vendors on
repairs, upgrades and replacement of parts
- Coordinate with Technical Direct on Prioritization of the
maintenance and repair of company equipment and parts
- Manage the CMMS/EAM Software and its integration into TTC's
system and processes of the maintenance team.
Communications:
- Communicates daily with operations and other TTC team members
about the status of the maintenance team and the
priorities.
- Ability to communicate with vendors on negotiations of
contracts, large purchases, etc.
Customer Service/Quality:
- Maintain Texas Tissues high standards of customer
service
- Performs frequent machine updates, audits, and inspections at
various critical points of machine lines
- Controls costs of repairs by proactive inspections of
equipment
Technical:
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical,
hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Repair and maintenance knowledge of both electrical and
mechanical systems in accordance with mechanical and electrical
drawings, operations manual, and manufacturers
specifications
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic,
and electrical issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
effectively
Safety:
- Ability to follow company safety policies and use safety
devices as required
- Holding Maintenance team to high standards of Safety,
Housekeeping and Quality of work.
- Implement and follow all safety policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical
Technology, or Industrial Engineering or related
discipline.
- 5 Years' experience in maintenance management role
- Use of Maintenance Software required (CMMS/EAM)
- Prefer additional Certification in technical, electrical,
and/or mechanical machine repair
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, in hot or cold
conditions.
- Ability to work any shift, on-call, holidays, weekends and
overtime as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Paper Industry Experience a Plus
- Packaging Industry a Plus
- Above average reporting skills
Working Conditions:
Physical Ability and Demand: Must be able to lift, sit, stand or
walk for long period of times. Tasks involve the ability to exert
physical effort in sedentary to movement type work, but which may
involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and
materials of minimal weight. Tasks may involve extended periods of
time at a sedentary or movement type work. The following are the
parameters this job may require:
- Walking: Constantly for up to 12 hours
- Standing: Constantly for up to 12 hours
- Lifting: Ability to lift from 0-20 lbs.
- Pushing, Pulling, Twisting and Climbing: Often up to 3
hours
- Stooping, Kneeling, crawling: Often up to 3 hours
- Reaching, grasping, repetitive motions; Regularly and
constantly up to 10 hours
- Sensory Requirements: Most tasks require visual perception and
discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications
ability.
- Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed with
exposure to environmental conditions, such as but not limited to;
dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes,
temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric
currents, machine hazard
