Huntsman is seeking a Site Manager supporting the Performance Products Division located in Conroe, Texas. This position will report to Americas Manufacturing Director.
Position Summary
The Conroe Site Manager role is a dynamic leadership position, delivering safe and reliable plant performance and high-quality products by leading a motivated site team to routinely deliver World Class performance efficiently at a competitive cost position. - The Site Manager is accountable for delivery of site objectives, and for working collaboratively to deliver business objectives working through cross functional teams. - The Site Manager leads a highly motivated organization to allow team members to reach maximum potential, while ensuring effective use of Huntsman's capital resources. - The Site Manager must build and maintain a culture of achievement and delivery of results from the site team. The role is responsible for all aspects of operations at the Conroe site, both individually and through the Site Leadership Team. Typical number supervised both directly and indirectly can range around 200. -
As the Site Manager you will: -

• Spend time on site daily setting high expectations, ensuring those expectations are being met, taking corrective actions immediately as needed, and developing a performance culture on site which strives to achieve and routinely meets key milestones.
• Assure that all Conroe site operations are in strict compliance with all local, State, and Federal EHS regulations.
• Promote corporate image by participation in community and public affairs.
• Make a high priority to attract top talent to the Conroe organization, and work with HR to assure a positive, results oriented working environment where people are given routine feedback and helped to reach their career objectives. This includes talent development processes to include training and inclusion in activities that build capabilities of high potential team members.
• Develop and maintain an effective system to report and discuss performance against established objectives, to include active work on closing gaps causing deviation from expected results. - Ensure a culture which is not satisfied reporting problems, instead fostering a culture where routine delivery of results is expected by the team.
• Develop a site strategy to accomplish long term business, site, and company objectives.
• Represent the Conroe site during management review and discussion, as well as with cross functional problem-solving teams.Other general responsibilities:
  • Follow instructions and perform other duties as may be assigned.
  • Assist other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.
  • Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
    Qualifications -
    You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
    Minimum Qualifications -
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in chemical or petroleum industry required.
      Preferred qualifications
      • Master's degree preferred.
        Skills and knowledge
        • Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
        • Must display a high degree of integrity, trust, and competence and be willing to accept positive change, difference of opinion, excel at conflict management, and/or compromise in the day-to-day problem-solving process.
        • Must possess a strong working knowledge of Process Safety along with a passion for making sure the site has the infrastructure and working culture to ensure World Class performance.
        • Should possess the ability to work with and direct a variety of styles, personalities, ages, and values.
        • Must be able to assess future production requirements and develop short and long-term plans to make production changes.
        • Must have a general knowledge of all aspects of management and be able to assimilate a large quantity of data in the decision making process.
        • Must demonstrate managerial independence, and be willing to report issues as far through the organization as needed for issues of safety and compliance.
