Registered Nurse- Dialysis


HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is a tertiary acute care 342 bed hospital that has been serving the community for more than 75 years. It provides a 24-hour designated Level II trauma center, Level III neonatal intensive care unit, cardiac care services, women-'s center, daVinci robotic surgery, neurosciences, pediatric care, rehabilitation therapy, sleep center, radiology, hyperbaric medicine, diagnostic/imaging services, and wound care facility.

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center. What you would do in this role:

• Renal Dialysis Nurse is responsible for planning and providing patient care for the renal dialysis adult patients in accordance with the physician-'s orders, hospital policies and procedures, PSHA guidelines, AMI guidelines, JCAHO standards, federal, state, and local regulations.
• The Renal Dialysis Nurse is responsible for communicating with the primary nurse prior to, during, and after the dialysis treatment as necessary to assure continuity of patient care.
• The Renal Dialysis Nurse is also responsible for acute and chronic treatment modalities as ordered.
• The Renal Dialysis Nurse independently performs crucial tasks in assessing, initiating, monitoring, and terminating treatment modalities in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Performs duties independently, in a professional manner, without immediate or continuous supervision.
  Qualifications What qualifications you will need:
  • Minimum of 6 months to a year of experience as a dialysis nurse, required.
  • RN Licensure in state of Texas.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • American Red Cross or America Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification is required.
