It provides a 24-hour designated Level II trauma center, Level III neonatal intensive care unit, cardiac care services, women's center, daVinci robotic surgery, neurosciences, pediatric care, rehabilitation therapy, sleep center, radiology, hyperbaric medicine, diagnostic/imaging services, and wound care facility.HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.

• The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for carrying out routine patient care assignments, working in controlled and/or uncontrolled patient care situations, performing established nursing care procedures, and engaging in therapeutic, rehabilitative, and preventive activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Under the general direction of the Unit Supervisor for the ER and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing care to the adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients admitted for medical/surgical problems.
• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse assists with the utilization of the nursing process in ensuring safe and competent quality patient care. The Licensed Vocational Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff and a Registered Nurse pursuant to the mission and objectives of the hospital.
• The Licensed Vocational Nurse assists with ensuring a safe environment for the patient and others and appropriately communicates with physicians, co-workers, volunteers, other hospital departments, and patient family members.
• The Licensed Vocational Nurse assists in providing direction to unlicensed assistive personnel in providing patient care.
• The Licensed Vocational Nurse must be able to assess own learning needs to enhance personal and professional development.
• The nurse will increase knowledge and skills related to patient care by attending workshops, formal classes, seminars and in-services.
• Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on assigned area.QualificationsWhat qualifications you will need:
  • One (1) or more years recent clinical experience as a LVN preferred.---Current Texas license as LVN
    ---American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
    ---Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
