And Qualifications"The Resource Nurse supports high quality,
patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring
to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a
new specialty. The Resource Nurse supports multiple units. The
Resource Nurse provides guidance and education on the hospital's
standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure
compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency
requirements.What you will do in this role:
- You will perform rounds on each nursing unit.
- You will observe and assess the quality of patient care being
delivered.
- You will Identify nursing educational needs.
- You will escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care,
policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
- You will ensure that nurses within scope of support have a
clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into
nursing practice.What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the
state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in
accordance with law and regulation.
- 3-5 years experience as an Labor and Delivery RN required
- 1+ years experience in a leadership role preferred
- 1+ years experience as a preceptor preferred
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life
Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life
Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 12 months
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment
start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90
days
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 12
