Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum 1 Year License: Valid RN License Certifications: NRP, BLS,
ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Laboring experience
Circulating experience Magnesium and Oxytocin administration
experience Description: This position requires a registered nurse
to provide care in a labor and delivery setting. The unit has 15
labor and delivery rooms and operates with a variable number of
staff. Staff includes charge nurses, transition nurses, labor and
delivery nurses, surgical techs, and unit support. Patient ratios
follow established staffing standards as staffing allows. The type
of equipment used includes electronic medical records systems.
Candidates will be expected to perform the laboring of patients.
Responsibilities also include delivering newborns and providing
care for antepartum patients. Candidates should demonstrate a
team-oriented attitude and be motivated to work in a fast-paced
environment. Multi-tasking and the ability to function in
high-stress situations are essential for success in this role.
Weekend shifts will be required, with no on-call responsibilities.
