Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients. Working with patients of all ages, from children to the elderly, the Speech Pathologist will play a crucial role in enabling patients to enhance communication skills and regain their ability to swallow effectively. Evaluate patient levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulty and determine the best treatment plans. Develop individualized plans of care for patients, focusing on improving their ability to perform daily activities. Implement therapeutic interventions for addressing deficiencies, effectively track progress, and make adjustments as necessary. Educate family members or other caregivers on how to accommodate and care for the patient. Maintain patient and treatment records and report on patient status to interprofessional team members. Collaborate with teachers or other educational staff when handling cases of children with speech or communication difficulties. Strong understanding of speech-language pathology therapy practices and techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. High level of compassion and patience in working with afflicted patients. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in using speech therapy tools and technologies for treatment and documentation.
