Summary and Qualifications Radiology Technologist Our imaging teams
are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently
seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a
full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. You will take
radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in
diagnosis and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a
careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and
responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) include
but are not limited to: Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all
diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including
surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic
procedures Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images
assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
utilizing appropriate lead markers as well asdate and time stickers
where indicated Select proper and accurate technical factors and
techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of
contrast media Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed
ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or
devices Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam,
obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within
MEDITECH accurately and on time Maintain proactive and effective
communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to
include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment,
maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent
cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked
with linens and necessary supplies Qualifications 2-year/Associate
degree in Radiologic Technology Valid ARRT certification
Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT required
to start; Temporary license is not accepted) Current Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification Must have trained in a hospital-based
program Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing,
bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of
patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs. HCA Florida Trinity
Hospital is a 340 bed hospital. We serve Hillsborough, Pasco and
Pinellas counties. We offer specialty services including surgical,
oncology and thoracic surgery. We have heart, vascular, behavioral
