Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Conroe, Texas. Job
Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit -
Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36
hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel
RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for
ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside
experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5
weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the
initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN
- ICU Job Details: • Work in a 30-bed ICU on the 3rd floor •
Patient ratios include 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 depending on acuity • 4
weekend shifts required per schedule period • No on-call
responsibilities • Must have ICU experience with ventilator and
cardiovascular drips • Neuro experience preferred • Required
certifications: ACLS and BLS • May float to IMU (Intermediate Care
Unit) • Dress code requires royal blue scrubs • EMR system:
Meditech • Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, IABP,
and Impella (not mandatory for contracts) • Typical procedures
include thoracentesis, arterial line and central line placement •
Day and night shifts available with 2 charge nurses and 15 staff
nurses per shift Facility: This healthcare facility is a
full-service medical center offering comprehensive critical care
services. The facility operates a modern 30-bed intensive care unit
equipped with advanced life support technology and specialized
equipment to handle complex patient cases. The ICU team consists of
82 staff members providing round-the-clock critical care with
flexible staffing ratios based on patient acuity levels. Location:
Conroe, TX Conroe offers the perfect blend of small-town charm and
big-city amenities, located just 40 miles north of Houston in the
beautiful Lake Conroe area. The city provides excellent outdoor
