Job Description Job Description Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technician to support cardiac catheterization procedures in a well-equipped cardiac cath lab setting. This contract position is based in Katy, TX, providing a dynamic work environment with advanced imaging technology and a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Location This role is situated in Katy, TX, a vibrant community known for its excellent schools, family-friendly atmosphere, and access to urban amenities while maintaining a suburban feel. Responsibilities Prepare and operate advanced imaging equipment including Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy units. Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures such as left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker/ICD implants, Watchman procedures, IR vascular interventions, and electrophysiology ablations. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprised of RNs and other cath lab techs to ensure safe, efficient patient care. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using specialized EMR systems such as MERGE Hemo and Meditech. Adhere to procedural guidelines including universal precautions, time-out procedures, and sedation protocols. Participate in weekend and on-call rotations, averaging 10 shifts per four-week schedule. Qualifications Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Active Texas state license and ARRT certification required for imaging techs. Electrophysiology experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team and adapt to flexible schedules. Additional Details Unit operates two procedure rooms with approximately nine staff members, including a supervisor, RNs, and cath lab techs. Scrub attire provided; sky blue color designated. On-call coverage primarily during nights with specified staffing ratios for patient procedures.
