Radiation Therapist Location: Tomball, TX Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title Radiation Therapist Employment Type Permanent | Full-Time Location Tomball, TX Job Description The Radiation Therapist administers prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist and Chief Radiation Therapist. This role requires precision in patient positioning, accurate dose delivery, and strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. The Radiation Therapist plays a key role in patient care, treatment accuracy, and maintaining a safe clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver and accurately document radiation therapy treatments Position patients precisely to ensure correct beam alignment and dosage Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record Assist with scheduling patient appointments and submitting accurate billing information Cut blocks and fabricate custom molds when required Perform basic monitor unit (MU) calculations Interpret computerized radiation treatment plans Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment Participate in training and clinical instruction of new therapists and students Follow all compliance, safety, and ethical standards Required Qualifications Education & Certification Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Valid state license in Radiation Therapy Experience One or more years of experience preferred New graduates will be considered Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and reach throughout the workday Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds Normal or corrected vision and hearing Work Environment Clinical oncology treatment setting Exposure to radiation therapy equipment following established safety protocols
