Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Tomball, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,494 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: MedSurg experience Time management skills Description: The unit has a total of 42 beds and 54 staff members. The typical staffing includes 1 charge nurse, six RNs, and three Patient Care Technicians on night shift. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 6:1. Equipment used includes Baxter pumps and the EMR system Meditech Expanse. The unit performs typical procedures such as IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, and nasogastric tube placement. Wound care and surgical site assessments are also part of the standard procedures. The preferred candidate will have experience in post-operative care. A team player mentality is essential for success in this role. Floating areas may include MedSurg, Rehabilitation, and Progressive Care (step-down). The dress code consists of royal blue scrubs. Candidates are expected to adhere to the code of conduct and relevant patient care policies. There is an expectation of working four weekend shifts within a four-week scheduling period.
