Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our
dedicated team. This position will be fundamental in providing both
facility-based and home-based care, aligning with our mission to
deliver high-quality patient outcomes. As a Speech Pathologist at
Encompass Health, you will evaluate and treat individuals with
communication and swallowing disorders, implement therapeutic
interventions, and contribute to multidisciplinary treatment
planning. Your expertise will directly support our continuum of
care philosophy, ensuring seamless transitions between inpatient
rehabilitation and home health services. Assess and diagnose
disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, and
swallowing. Develop and implement individualized care plans based
on patient needs and medical history. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team to integrate speech therapy treatments with
overall patient care. Document and maintain accurate patient
records. Educate patients and their families on communication and
swallowing disorders, promoting an in-depth understanding and
involvement in the treatment process. Provide training and
supervision to new therapists and therapy assistants. Expertise in
various speech therapy techniques and diagnostic tools. Ability to
conduct and interpret standardized speech and language assessments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in
electronic health record (EHR) systems. Capability to work both
independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k A valid state
license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical
Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
