Job Description Contract to Permanent FM/IM Physician –
Full-Time - UTMB Correctional Managed Care: County Jail near
Houston, TX The Opportunity – At a Glance Position: Full-time FM/IM
Physician Start Date: ASAP (takes days for security clearance)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:30a-3:30p or 7a-4p (cst) Call: No call Patients
per day: 20-25 Age Range: Adults 18 Case Types: General
correctional intake- sutures, bumps/bruises, sickness,
intoxication, vitals Sole PCP on-site, part-time cardiologist and
dialysis physician. Medical assistants and nurses make up support
staff EMR: Located within the confines of a county jail. Security
clearance is required; pre-employment drug testing is also
required. What We Offer for perm: Competitive base salary: $280K,
will allow for locums for first 2-3 months of employment with
expectation of becoming a W2 after 2-3 months fulltime Full

Medium-security facility located south of Houston. It primarily
houses pre-trial detainees and those awaiting sentencing for
various violations. The facility has a capacity of approximately
1,100 adult detainees and offers a range of services to support
rehabilitation and safety. The jail provides educational programs,
vocational training, substance abuse treatment, and work programs
where inmates can earn money or reduce their sentences. It also
offers religious programs and volunteer services to inmates.
