Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, where we prioritize innovative treatment and patient-centered care. The successful candidate will work under the direction of our physical therapists to contribute to the recovery and rehabilitation of our patients, ensuring they achieve their highest levels of functional independence. Assist physical therapists in the execution of treatment plans. Perform patient care duties, such as applying heat packs, overseeing therapeutic exercises, and aiding in ambulation. Document patient responses to therapy and report outcomes to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and families about post-treatment home exercises and preventive measures. Maintain equipment and treatment areas. Ability to follow physical therapy treatment plans Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity Detail-oriented with strong observational skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the applicable state. CPR certification preferred.
