Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care at our inpatient rehabilitation facilities. As a key player in our patient-centered treatment team, you will work closely with physical therapists to implement patient-specific programs designed to restore, enhance, and increase functionality. This role requires a blend of expertise in physical therapy techniques and a compassionate approach to patient care, reflecting our commitment to improving lives and outcomes. Assist Physical Therapists in the development and implementation of patient therapy programs Perform routine physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Document patient responses to therapy and report outcomes to the supervising therapist Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and exercises Maintain equipment and ensure the therapy space is safe and clean Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to recommend the best course of patient care Proficiency with physical therapy exercises and equipment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records Capability to handle physical demands of the position, including lifting and moving patients Empathy and resilience, with a strong patient focus Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant CPR certification preferred
