Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Unit Location: Humble, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,436 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in open heart cardiothoracic service line. Description: The unit consists of 457 beds and 14 operating rooms, including 1 dedicated open heart room. Staffing includes 8 members, comprising 4 registered nurses and 4 technicians. Day shift operates from 7 AM to 3 PM with call coverage required after hours and on weekends. Night shift staff is also required to cover calls. Patient ratios in the unit are 1:1. Standard operating room equipment is utilized. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include CABG (with and without EVH), Impellas, pericardial windows, valve replacements, and ECMO. Dependability and flexibility are essential personality traits for candidates. Staff may be floated to other operating rooms when no open heart procedures are scheduled. Preferred skills include experience in other service lines such as trauma, general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and plastics. Candidates lacking the required skills will not be considered for the role. Weekends and on-call assistance are part of the position responsibilities. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
