Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team of health professionals in providing exceptional care in a full range of inpatient rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will assist in the physical therapy management of patients under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist, adhering to best practice standards and regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in helping patients achieve their maximum level of functional independence. Implement patient care plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist patients in performing specific exercises and use devices as prescribed. Monitor and document patient's progress and adapt interventions as necessary. Educate patients and families about health and wellness topics. Maintain patient privacy and confidential patient information. Participate in clinical training and staff meetings. Thorough understanding of physical therapy modalities Competency in both manual therapy and use of therapeutic equipment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively Strong interpersonal and communication skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license CPR certification preferred
