Voodoo Grille is a new concept restaurant that has
Cajun/Creole-inspired cuisine and service standards. We are looking
to shake up the industry a little, so NO service staff will pay
tipshare to the restaurant. We---re looking for candidates who are:
Punctual. Team players. Experienced working in a customer-facing
role. Passionate about hospitality, food, and helping people have a
great dining experience. Able to easily converse with guests. Able
to multitask without getting flustered. Able to respond well under
pressure. Able to respond to change quickly. Comfortable memorizing
orders and menus. Patient with guests. Able to do basic, fast math.
Able to handle some manual labor. Willing and able to work nights
and weekends. Willing and able to be on their feet for 6 hours.
Common Duties include, but are not limited to: Make guests feel
welcome and accommodated. Take orders from guests and input them
into the point of sale. Make menu recommendations to guests. List
ingredients or common allergens for guests from memory. Sell menu
specials or limited time offers. Run food and drink orders for
their tables and for other staff members. Get guests a refill (or a
second drink). ID guests wanting an alcoholic beverage. Complete
guest transactions. Keep track of credit card receipts and cash
payment. Encourage sign-ups to the restaurant---s loyalty/rewards
program. Keep their section clean. Bus tables. Reset tables so
waiting parties can be seated. Restock server stations with
napkins, cutlery, condiments, and small plates. Keep the soda
station stocked with cups. Refill ice at the soda station. Do
roll-ups. Do light prep work to assist the line cooks (e.g., refill
ramekins with salad dressing, cut vegetables for garnishes). Keep
the break area clean.
