Job DescriptionTexas Tissue Converting is seeking a full-time Quality Tester to join our team. This person will perform routine testing of products on in-process samples and final products using established procedures. This person is responsible for routine and non-routine analysis of samples. This will also include conducting necessary maintenance on those instruments by care and cleaning and making sure they are calibrated if needed. • Processes samples, prepares solutions, performs instrumental and judgement evaluations, gathers and records data and reports to appropriate departments
• Calibrates and maintain instruments and equipment in accordance to manufacture's procedure and specifications
• Identify and correct defects as they occur to assure the accuracy of data
• Performs administrative duties of the laboratory. Filing of quality, standards, calibration and maintenance and training of paperwork.
• Maintains sample storage and works to dispose laboratory waste in accordance to environmental and safety regulations.
• Ability to identify quality issues and solutions
• Ability to run lab and tests as required
• Know and understand all safety, operating and technical procedures and policies as it pertains to lab and qualityREQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Lab technician and/or paper experience preferred
  • Ability to operate computer and data entry
  • Must be able to lift, sit, stand or walk for long period of times. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a sedentary or movement type work. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
    • This is an indoor manufacturing facility
    • PPE is always required to be on when on the floor (safety glasses and steel toe shoes)
