Role Overview: The IT Server Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s server infrastructure—both on-premises and in the cloud. This role ensures system availability, performance, and security for mission-critical applications, patient management systems, and business operations across multiple dental practices. Responsibilities Lead and support cloud migration initiatives, including planning, execution, and post-migration optimization across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or hybrid Hyper-V Administration VMware Virtualization Administration Lead and support cloud migration initiatives, including planning, execution, and post-migration optimization across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or hybrid Virtualization Platform Management Design, implement, and support cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including virtual machines, storage, identity integration, backup, and disaster recovery Manage multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously, balancing operational support with strategic initiatives while meeting defined deadlines and service-level expectations. Support the development and implementation of future server technology initiatives, including infrastructure modernization, virtualization upgrades, and automation-driven improvements. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) to streamline server provisioning patch management, monitoring, and routine administrative Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability through automation and process optimization. Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex server, virtualization, storage, and operating system issues across on-premises and cloud Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational standards, security requirements, and compliance frameworks. Proactively evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations that support long-term infrastructure growth and efficiency. Position Base Pay Range $90,000 - $100,000 USD Specialty1 Partners is the direct employer of non-clinical employees only. For clinical employees, the applicable practice entity listed above in the job posting is the employer.
