Job Description:
Clean Harbors, a leader in environmental, energy, and industrial
services across North America, is seeking a CDL A or B Driver II to
join our transportation team. This role is crucial for safely and
efficiently transporting hazardous waste and materials, thus
contributing directly to our mission of maintaining a safe and
sustainable environment. This includes operating heavy-duty trucks
and handling emergency spill responses with adherence to all safety
and environmental protocols. Operate Class A or B heavy-duty trucks
for the transportation of hazardous waste across various routes.
Ensure compliance with environmental laws, safety standards, and
company policies during daily operations and transport. Conduct
thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and take
necessary corrective actions. Complete and maintain accurate
documentation or logs for regulatory and company requirements.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations team to
optimize route efficiency and ensure service reliability.
Participate in safety meetings and emergency response drills.
Regularly clean and maintain vehicles and equipment to uphold
safety and operational standards. Proficient in operating Class A
or B vehicles. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety
protocols. Effective communication and documentation skills.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Physical fitness to perform pre-trip inspections and vehicle
maintenance duties. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) Class A or B. Current HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (or
ability to obtain within 90 days of hire). DOT Medical Card. Clean
driving record.
