Job Description Overview: This individual will be responsible to help drive business results by providing analytical support to all levels of Conn---s leadership through in-depth analysis and collaborative projects. This role, reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, is involved in annual planning and budgeting, monthly forecasting, financial modeling, reporting and variance analysis. Key Duties & Responsibilities: The Financial Analyst---s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support executive leadership with in-depth analysis and reporting on various projects, related to data requests and financial reports in support of strategic initiatives Conduct financial analysis, by developing and utilizing financial models and other analysis tools to support incremental business and investment decisions as well as cost saving initiatives Partner with individual members of the executive team on special projects involving their respective functional areas In collaboration with the management team, develop and enhance forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning models Review operational metrics, identify and investigate variances and provide action steps as appropriate Work across departments to define opportunities for process improvement and monitoring KPIs Prepare presentations in support of both internal and external constituencies (Board of Directors, investors and senior leadership) and supporting the Investor Relations function Other duties as assigned. Required Experience Bachelor---s Degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree preferred Minimum of 5 years experience in financial analysis Advanced Excel and intermediate Access and PowerPoint skills Prior modeling experience with a focus on forecasting, variance analysis and KPI review. Preferred Experience Experience working with or in the financial services industry Experience analyzing credit portfolio performance (e.g. yield, expected losses) Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL/Query experience Skills & Abilities Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize workload Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills, able to function independently as well as part of a team Conn---s HomePlus is an equal opportunity employer.
