Ideal Background
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.

Experience: This position requires a minimum 8 years of relevant industrial I/E construction coordination and administration experience. -

Certification: State Electrical Journeyman license is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with/ability to read electrical drawings, electrical schematics
  
• Experience with electrical system commissioning and control system commissioning, fiber-optic systems/installations plus excavation and directional boring
  
• Management of Electrical Construction of the following:
  
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E
  
• Familiarity with ANCI-C2 National Electrical Safety Code
  
• Familiarity with NETA acceptance testing
  
• 16 kV power distribution
  
• 125 VDC battery systems
  
• Grounding and bonding
  
• 480/277 VAC
  
• 208/120 VAC
  
• PLC's, Device- Net and instrumentation would be a plus
  
• Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
  
• A comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
  
• Ability to manage client relationships in complex situations.
  
• Ability to relate easily to others in the business community such as customers, suppliers, contractors, government, professional and trade associations.
  
• Ability to handle stress with poise.
  
• Understanding of existing and potential customer needs and preferences.
  
• Ability to clearly communicate expectations and requirements to team members.

  What You'll Be Doing
  Job Summary: -Generally responsible for performing I/E construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments. This work will be performed under close supervision.
  
  
  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  
  • 
    
  • Assist the Hargrove I/E group in performing some I/E Quality Control tasks.
    
  • Knowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.
    
  • Good knowledge of construction safety requirements, with a commitment to a zero accidents environment. Ability to ensure contractor's activities are planned and executed with safety first.
    
  • Coordinating Request for Information (RFI) from contractor's, ensuring timely engineering responses and maintaining RFI logs.
    
  • Compiling building permit packages and submitting to permitting agencies.
    
  • Coordinating the review of submittals and maintaining logs of open submittals.
    
  • Assisting construction team(s) with assembling drawing packages for various phases of work.
    
  • Assisting the estimating team with miscellaneous estimates.
