Immediately seeking a Senior Petrophysical Software Specialist responsible for working with users to figure out the data or workflow issues between the Petrophysical programs and then resolving him/herself – client is upgrading/migrating/integrating/decommissioning some of their applications. The issues usually occur when data is moving from one application to another.
 
This position offers a competitive hourly rates and opportunity to work in large, multinational environment. Potential international travel of up to 20% of the project time.

Top 3 skills:


  • Geolog and Techlog – need to not only know the software but truly understand the data from a petro physical perspective
  • Application support experience
  • Communication/customer service – supports global user group


 
This is an Petrophysical Software support role that is part of a Techlog rollout project. The ideal candidate will have Petrophysical interpretation experience along with experience of the software. The software tools in question are Techlog from Schlumberger and Geolog from Paradigm Geophysical primarily but any knowledge of others such as Interactive Petro Physics from Synergy or Petcom Powerlog from Fugro would be highly advantageous. It would combine workflow help for users and application trouble shooting.
